The Queen of prime time drama, Queen B of Gossip Girl, is seen here laughing and drinking on a very cold set of Gossip Girl as they go on location to the frigid temperatures of Central Park to film everybody’s favourite drama saga. The gang was so cold in fact that they were doubling up in coats, wearing long puffy overcoats over their chic and trendy Upper East Sider winter wear, and cuddling with cozy cups of steaming coffee in between takes on set. But by the looks of it, you would never guess that Leighton Meester has even the slightest goose pimple from being cold, as she is laughing her way through the whole thing. Leighton looks fabulously glamorous on set, and even a little brighter we see with some new highlights that are showing off her gorgeous brunette locks to perfection.

This is just another idea you can play with if you are looking for a way to update your look, add some bright highlights to the front sections of your hair, and this will freshen up any look instantly. You can choose colors that are warm and in line with the season like Leighton has here, where she has chosen a warm auburn tone to complement her dark brunette locks. You can also go with a color that is very light and in direct contrast to your base color, such as going with some gold highlights in darker colored hair.

Just get a few highlights, and only in the front sections of your hair and this will brighten up your entire look without making too much of a drastic change. And, at the end of the day, if you just don’t like it, you can wash those highlights right out of your hair and nobody will be any the wiser. Go for it! Look at the difference it has made with Queen B!
