Mischa Barton is seen here leaving a nightclub with a cigarette in hand in Los Angeles over the weekend. And it seems that Mischa is going for the hippy bohemian look here in a lace fringed dress, gold headband hippy style, and black stiletto shoes. But let’s not knock Mischa’s style too soon, as this hippy look with the headband is pretty en pointe with Hollywood trends right now. Mischa has always had such an eclectic sense of personal style, you really can’t pin her down to one look or another. And yet, she always looks outstanding, does she not? Here Mischa’s style is definitely eclectic, and in line with the hippy bohemian trend that is very contemporary right now. Mischa’s hair is clearly second day hair, and I may even push to say it’s third day hair, as it has a very ratty, unkempt look to it. And well, a hairbrush would definitely work wonders here as well. At any rate, the hairstyle is easy enough to achieve, particularly if you skip the wash and dry. You only need to part your hair down the middle and yes, brush your hair with a flat paddle brush. To maximize this look, you want to have flat, straight hair with almost no bend to it. So if you have some wave that isn’t working with you, run some straightening serum over your locks and smooth the flat iron over it. Because yes, retro is contemporary today and the straight sleek hippy look is the one you are going over. Place your headband in the middle of your forehead, and narrow is the other key to this trend. Lastly, if you are going to be in the sun, you want some sunscreen on your forehead, or you will be wearing that headband for a LONG time while your tan line fades.
