Kate Walsh Knows How To Keep It Vibrant

Kate Walsh is seen here at the Season One DVD Launch of ‘Private Practice’ in Holllywood this week, and she is looking as professional and polished as ever. Wearing a figure hugging Jenny Packham dress and Chanel peep toes, Kate is styled immaculately and showing off her gorgeous vibrant auburn locks. One has to wonder, how does Kate maintain such luscious and lustrous hair in California heat and humidity? You too may be wondering just how to go about repairing any summer damage to your hair. As you can expect, it’s all about product, and product used properly. And believe it or not, some products may be sitting right in your kitchen. Post summer hair maintenance is not always a day at the beach, and you may have issues such as removing chlorine damage that has tarnished your hair color, or are simply worried about split ends caused by humidity and environmental factors like smog. One way you can give your ends and your color a little boost is through a baking soda mask. This will open up your hair cuticle and repair some split ends, as well as flush out any chlorine effects that have been caused. Make a paste with baking soda and water and comb it over washed hair. Let it set for about 10 minutes and rinse, then re-condition your hair with your standard conditioning product. If your hair will be exposed to humidity or chlorine again before the season and pools officially close, prevent further damage by coating your hair with a silicone or oil based spray to hydrate your hair and create a seal that will prevent chlorine absorption.
