Looks like the writers of last years prime time hit Gossip Girl have some surprises in store for us this season, as Madchen Amick has just joined the cast and was seen here on the Manhattan location while shooting Gossip Girl. Madchen Amick is said to play a girl by the name of Catherine Mason, a girl who will be a May-December romance for the ever so cute Chace Crawford, aka Nate. And by all accounts, it seems Madchen will blend right in with her long, wavy, luscious locks, which leads me to wonder. Is the long wavy look ‘the thing’ or do the stylists on Gossip Girl lack a little creativity? Wouldn’t it be fun to see someone join the cast with a punky cropped do? Ah yes, but that is not quite how the Upper East Siders do it now, is it? Madchen here is wearing her hair in a very Farah Fawcett kind of way, with long layered waves, and here, the cut is more important than the waves themselves. If you like this look and have the length to support it, ask your style for chunky layers and this will give you a lot of versatility when it comes to styling.
