Lucy Liu is seen here on the red carpet attending the Kung Fu Panda premiere in London. She is gorgeous, as usual, and has complemented her sassy cocktail dress with a formal ponytail that is sitting high on her head. You can achieve this look by pulling your hair back in a high ponytail, and when you do so, keep out a section at the back about two inches wide. Use a flat paddled brush when you are sleeking your hair back to avoid bumps and to get a sleek finish. As you pull your ponytail back, once you pull it through your elastic the second time, do not pull it out completely. Keep the ends of your ponytail tucked into your elastic to get this half ponytail that almost looks like a bob. If it feels a little loose, you can secure the sides of the bob through the back piece of your ponytail against your hair. Now, take your section that you have left out, and coil it around your elastic so that it covers your elastic with a result that looks like your hair is securing your ponytail. Be sure to secure this section underneath the ponytail so that the bobby pins are not seen. Finish with some high gloss spritzing for an extra shine to give you that added formality.
