Yes, here we have Carrie Underwood pulling off the side ponytail with a glamorous bang. The end result is one that works very well for Carrie, though I can’t say we’ve ever seen this singer look bad. Carrie has gone for a cute and sexy look that gives her personality some sass and some spunk by having her hair curled and then swept over in a low side ponytail. So cute, and yet you can go formal with it in a pinch!

To achieve this look unwashed hair is best, particularly if you are going for the curly ponytail as well. Run some mousse or curling pomade through your hair and then set it in small sized hot rollers for about 30 minutes. As you set each roller, spritz each section of hair with a smidge of extra hold hairspray for a little extra hold to your curl.

Take your rollers out after about 30 minutes, and finger comb them through. Use a fine tooth comb to part your hair on the side. At the crown, you want to back comb a little bit with your comb, teasing in the direction behind your head. This will give your ponytail a little lift. Spritz some extra hold hairspray on that section as well. Use a soft bristle brush to sweep your hair over to the side, and secure at the nape of your neck with a cloth covered elastic. You can use your curling iron to turn your bangs under if you like. And there you have it, a sweet, sassy side ponytail that will last all night long.
