The latest color technique “Ombre†is hitting Hollywood and is becoming a popular trend in many big cities all over. Rather than having fresh looking highlights or color, Ombre (having colors or tones that shade into each other), introduces a more natural faded look. The roots are dark and fade beginning mid-shaft into a lighter shade, gradually developing into a bright shade of blonde, light brown, or red at the ends.
This new technique allows for a much longer time between salon visits and creates a more natural grown out look. When done right the outcome is beautiful. When done wrong, it will look like someone got a little too lazy to maintain their locks.
Typically a stylist can achieve this look by hand painting the highlights and this gradual fade would leave no lines of demarcation, but rather a beautiful transition of color. Love it or hate it Ombre is sure to be a hot trend this summer!Jessica
